ETL Tester with P&C Insurance

Your Role

  • Perform comprehensive testing of data products, ETL processes, and data validation workflows, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of insurance data across systems.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and support end-to-end testing activities.
  • Test and validate Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX calculations to ensure business requirements and reporting accuracy are met.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and analysts within the Property & Casualty Insurance domain to validate data requirements, business rules, and insurance-specific data structures.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, manage defects using tracking tools, and contribute to continuous quality improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support testing activities on cloud-based data platforms and Azure environments, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and data quality across modern data ecosystems.

Your Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, with a strong understanding of insurance data structures, business processes, and domain-specific workflows.
  • 2+ years of experience in data product testing, including ETL testing, data validation, and ensuring data quality across complex data pipelines.
  • Strong SQL expertise with the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries for data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
  • Hands-on experience in Power BI testing, including validation of reports, dashboards, semantic models, and DAX calculations to ensure accurate business reporting.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools; exposure to cloud data platforms and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
