Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with 9+ years of expertise in designing, managing, and optimizing large-scale, high-performance databases across cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have deep DBA expertise in both SQL and NoSQL databases, with hands-on experience in Couchbase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and DynamoDB

Primary Skills

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 9+ years of hands-on DBA experience managing large-scale databases.

• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, including Couchbase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB.

• Strong experience in Couchbase cluster management, XDCR replication, backup strategies, and memory tuning.

• Proficiency in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and data processing frameworks.

• Strong Python and R programming skills for automation, scripting, and analytics integration.

• Experience designing real-time and batch data pipelines using Kafka, Apache Airflow, or AWS Glue.

• Knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Aurora, Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Azure SQL, CosmosDB).

• Strong understanding of database replication, clustering, and HA/DR strategies.

• Hands-on experience in database security, compliance, and encryption techniques.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes for database automation.
