Citrix Administrator

Your Role

• Administer and maintain Citrix VDI and XenApp environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and end-user satisfaction.
• Manage Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, License Servers, Citrix Director, Machine Catalogs, and Delivery Groups.
• Support and optimize Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS) environments, including image lifecycle management.
• Perform image management activities including gold image creation, patching, updates, and deployment across Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Manage FSLogix profile solutions and user environment management to ensure a seamless virtual desktop experience.
• Monitor and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop host pools, session hosts, workspaces, autoscaling, and load-balancing configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to user logins, application launches, profile management, performance, and latency.
• Collaborate with global operations teams, vendors, and L3 support teams for incident resolution, root cause analysis, and service improvements.

Your Profile

• 4-12 years of experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop/VDI) and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix components including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Director, PVS, MCS, Machine Catalogs, and Delivery Groups.
• Strong experience supporting and administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pools, session hosts, workspaces, and user assignments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure fundamentals including IaaS, PaaS, Azure Portal, Azure AD, Intune, and cloud-based desktop services.
• Experience with Windows Server, Windows 10/11 Multi-Session, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Group Policy (GPO).
• Hands-on expertise in FSLogix profile management, image management, patching, and desktop lifecycle administration.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, Virtual Networks (VNet), Network Security Groups (NSG), and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of monitoring and analytics tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Nerdio, ControlUp, and Citrix Analytics.
