Your Role
As a Technical Lead / Architect for Apollo Optics Card Development, you will take ownership of the design, development, and delivery of Optical Transponder and Muxponder cards for the Apollo platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product marketing, systems architecture, hardware, and software to shape product requirements and lead software development efforts.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of optical cards including transponders and muxponders for the Apollo platform.
- Interface with product line marketing and systems architecture teams to define and refine product requirements.
- Guide software development teams in designing, implementing, and delivering software for optical card functionality.
- Collaborate with network management, hardware, QA, and customer engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Drive board bring-up, debugging, and validation of optical cards based on OTN and FlexO technologies.
- Integrate third-party SDKs from vendors such as Microchip, Broadcom, and Acacia into application code.
- Work with transceivers based on CMIS technology and ensure compliance with ITU-T G.709 and related standards.
Your Profile
- BE/BTech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in telecom or product-based companies.
- Strong hands-on experience in optical card design, development, and debugging.
- Deep understanding of ITU-T G.709 and related optical transport standards.
- Proficiency in C++ and experience in distributed, multi-threaded systems.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Familiarity with third-party optical components and integration of vendor SDKs.
