C++ & Middleware Engineer

Your Role

You will be responsible for developing middleware services, defining software interfaces, and delivering high-quality software solutions for automotive infotainment platforms. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, architects, and global teams, you will ensure robust, scalable, and high-performance software delivery across the development lifecycle.

  • Analyze and define software requirements, interfaces, and middleware architectures.
  • Design, develop, and maintain middleware framework components and services.
  • Develop software modules for Automotive Infotainment (IVI) head units.
  • Implement and support middleware lifecycle management functionalities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to integrate system components and features.
  • Participate in software architecture reviews, integration activities, and technical workshops.
  • Perform C++ development, code reviews, unit testing, and debugging activities.
  • Support software integration, build management, release management, and deployment processes.
  • Develop, flash, and validate applications on IVI head-unit hardware platforms.
  • Create and maintain high-level design, low-level design, source code, and test documentation.
  • Work closely with distributed teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Your Profile

  • Strong programming expertise in Modern C++ (C++14/C++17 or above).
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based development, build systems, deployment, and debugging.
  • Strong experience in IPC mechanisms, MQTT, HTTP, and CommonAPI frameworks.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining middleware services and framework components.
  • Strong knowledge of Automotive Infotainment (IVI) system architecture.
  • Understanding of UML modeling and software design methodologies.
  • Experience with software version control tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, and module testing.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

  • BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Communication Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
