Bootloader Developer 

Location: Bangalore

At Capgemini, we empower engineers to build secure and resilient embedded platforms. Join our team to lead the development of secure boot flows and cryptographic firmware for next-generation ARM-based systems.


Your Role

As a Bootloader Developer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating secure boot and measured boot flows on ARM platforms. You’ll work across simulation, firmware, and kernel layers to ensure compliance with industry security standards.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and debug secure boot and measured boot flows on ARM platforms
  • Work with Fixed Virtual Platforms (FVP) for simulation and validation of secure firmware
  • Implement and integrate cryptographic algorithms and security features in Linux
  • Collaborate on bootloader development (U-Boot, UEFI) and secure firmware integration
  • Utilize OpenSSL and crypto drivers for secure data handling
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across firmware and kernel layers
  • Use industry-standard tools like Git, Gerrit, and IDEs for development and configuration management

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded systems and firmware security
  • Strong expertise in secure boot, measured boot, and ARM platform security
  • Hands-on experience with bootloaders (U-Boot, UEFI) and secure firmware development
  • Proficiency in cryptographic libraries (OpenSSL) and Linux kernel security features
  • Familiarity with Fixed Virtual Platforms (FVP) and simulation tools
  • Experience with Git, Gerrit, and modern IDEs for configuration and code management
  • Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and best practices
