BT Testing Engineer | 4 to 6 years | Bengaluru

Job Description

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies: Standards and protocols, application software and embedded software for wireless and satellite networks, fixed networks and enterprise networks; connected devices (IOT and device engineering), connected applications (5G/ edge, B2X apps); and Telco Cloud, Automation and Edge Compute platforms. This role also involves the integration of network systems and their operations, related to the above technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and automated testing of Bluetooth features including BT Classic, BLE, and BT Audio.
• Validate Bluetooth stack functionality, interoperability, and compliance with Bluetooth SIG standards.
• Conduct regression, performance, and stress testing on embedded devices or mobile platforms.
• Use tools like Bluetooth Sniffers, Protocol Analyzers, and Automation Frameworks.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, log, and track defects.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of Bluetooth protocols (BT Classic, BLE, LE Audio).
• Experience with Bluetooth testing tools such as Ellisys, Frontline, or Wireshark.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for test automation.
• Familiarity with Android/iOS Bluetooth stacks or embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of BT profiles like A2DP, HFP, AVRCP, GATT, and HID.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in automotive infotainment, IoT, or consumer electronics domains.
• Certifications like Bluetooth Qualification Engineer (BQE) are a plus.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
