Application Packaging

Your Role

• Design, build, and maintain application packages using MSI (Windows Installer technology) in line with SOE and client standards, ensuring seamless deployment across enterprise environments.
• Perform application packaging using industry-standard tools such as Flexera AdminStudio, Wise Package Studio, and Advanced Installer, including validation and internal consistency checks.
• Develop, customize, and support PowerShell-based deployments, including advanced use of PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) for complex installation, upgrade, and rollback scenarios.
• Create and manage silent installations using PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch scripting, ensuring unattended and error-free deployments.
• Troubleshoot and remediate packaging and installation issues using diagnostic tools such as Process Monitor, FileMon, Dependency Walker, InstallRite, Repackager, and Pictaker on Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms.
• Validate application packages through quality assurance and testing, ensuring compliance with client standards, ITIL processes, and delivery of defect-free packages.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to gather technical requirements, define packaging guidelines, and maintain standards and documentation for application packaging processes.
• Provide SME-level technical support to projects, including integration with SCCM, Intune, AppX packages, and optional Microsoft App‑V, while managing requests through ServiceNow workflows.

Your Profile

• 4 to 6 years experience in Application Packaging using MSI technology, aligned with enterprise SOE and security standards 
• Proven expertise with application packaging tools such as Flexera AdminStudio, Wise Package Studio, Advanced Installer, and troubleshooting utilities.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills with working knowledge of VBScript and Batch scripting, including PSADT customization.
• Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 troubleshooting, deployment best practices, ITIL processes, and ServiceNow ticketing workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with a client-focused mindset, ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently or within teams, and support shift-based, office-based delivery models.
