Application Packaging

Your Role

• Design, create, test, and deploy enterprise-grade software packages following organizational standards.
• Analyze application installation requirements and define the appropriate packaging approach (MSI, App-V, IntuneWin, MSIX).
• Create and maintain software packages using AdminStudio, InstallShield, or PowerShell scripting.
• Perform functional and user acceptance testing to validate packaged applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software packaging and deployment issues across environments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for packaging standards, procedures, and application-specific configurations.
• Collaborate with application owners, business teams, and deployment teams to gather requirements and ensure package functionality.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and software licensing policies.
• Support deployment through SCCM, Intune, and other enterprise deployment platforms.
• Provide expert-level assistance during software rollouts, upgrades, and migration projects.

Your Profile

• 4 to 9 years of Strong hands-on experience in software packaging (MSI, App-V, IntuneWin, MSIX).
• Proficiency with packaging tools such as AdminStudio, InstallShield, or Orca, and scripting using PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of Windows OS internals, installation behavior, registry, and Group Policy.
• Experience with deployment tools like SCCM (MECM) and Microsoft Intune.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices, change management, and enterprise IT environments.
• Preferred: Exposure to virtualization technologies (App-V, MSIX), and experience working in Agile/DevOps setups.
