Ab Initio Developer

Your Role

  • Design, develop, and manage data ETL processes using Ab Initio (GDE, Graphs, Plans, PDL), ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and transformation across batch and real-time interfaces
  • Collaborate with data architects, DBAs, QA analysts, and business teams during requirement analysis, design, and implementation phases
  • Establish best practices and standards—code reviews, documentation, optimization, automation, and monitoring.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Ab Initio development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise with Ab Initio components: Rollup, Scan, Join, Partitioning, Normalize.
  • Proven experience building and managing Vectors and implementing Plans and Conduct>IT.
  • Solid experience with PDL and meta programming to create parameterized, reusable graphs.
  • Practical exposure to Express>IT or similar orchestration tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and semi-structured data.
  • Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills for large data volumes.
