Roles & Responsibilities
Capgemini is seeking a Director level executive for ADAS ARCHITECT role.
This person will be the subject matter expert with deep technical knowledge and experience with OEMs / Tier-1s experience in core automotive architecture for ADAS.
The candidate should not only be a strong leader who can articulate a vision, but one who can also drive execution of that vision in a very concrete manner that results in tangible business outcomes (bookings, contribution margin, revenue, market recognition).
The role demands a high level of autonomy; a strong appetite to drive change and overcome organizational complexity; and a high level of drive to build a business from its current strong foundations to a potential billion-scale business.
Responsibilities Include:
- Presales solutioning for ADAS
- Define and Implement ADAS system architecture incorporating components such as Sensor suite integration (radar, lidar, ultrasonic, cameras, and IMUs). Perception algorithms (object detection, lane recognition, and environmental mapping), Sensor fusion frameworks and Control systems. Design modular and scalable software architectures for ECU platforms, middleware, and communication interfaces.
- Optimize computational efficiency and memory usage for real-time processing on embedded platforms.
- Manage sensor and hardware calibration, including extrinsic and intrinsic calibrations for cameras and radars.
- Liaise with functional safety experts to ensure alignment with ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) requirements.
- Work with OEMs and suppliers to develop technical specifications for ADAS components, including sensors, ECUs, and software modules. Collaborate with hardware and Software teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team
Our Ideal Candidate
They will have 15 years experience in Automotive with focus on design, development, and integration of cutting-edge ADAS solutions for next-generation vehicles with a strong project track record and demonstrated P&L contribution to sales. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Masters is strongly preferred.

- Strong experience in design, development, and integration of cutting-edge ADAS solutions for next-generation vehicles using various sensors (radar, lidar, ultrasonic, cameras)
- Expertise in Advanced perception (object detection, lane recognition, and environmental mapping), decision-making, and control algorithms, designing scalable software architectures, and implementing robust hardware solutions for sensor fusion and autonomous functionalities
- Expertise in developing software architecture in the area of Vision, Lidar Algorithm and responsible for requirements implementation & design solutions for customer products & applications.
- Exposure to Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety (ISO-26262)
- Strong customer orientation, decision making, problem solving, communication and presentation skills
- Very good judgement skills and ability to shape compelling solutions and solve unstructured problems with assumptions
- Very good collaboration skills and ability to interact with multi-cultural and multi-functional teams spread across geographies
- Strong executive presence and entrepreneurial spirit
Superb leadership and team building skills with ability to build consensus and achieve goals through collaboration rather than direct line authority
