Senior Database Administrator - Associate Manager

Job Description

Capgemini's Auckland Cloud Infrastructure Services team are looking for a passionate, talented Senior Database Administrator to join a successful platforms practice. You'll be working with Capgemini's valued customers, alongside an accomplished, supportive team in a collaborative atmosphere. 

This role will see you utilise your hands on experience across all things SQL including administration of SSIS, SSAS and SSRS, and Azure SQL PaaS/IaaS implementations while working with the wider team that includes developers, software vendors and clients.

Your Experience

You'll have done both project and operation support work. Along with your flexible and proactive attitude you'll bring the following skills:

• Knowledge and hand-on experience of SQL 2005 through to 2019
• Strong in administration of SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• ITIL methodologies exposure including ServiceNow, Cherwell.
• Experience around Always on Availability Groups and windows cluster in Azure and on-prem.
• Able to work with developers, application support staff, software vendors and management.
• Excellent database performance troubleshooting skills
• Extensive hands-on experience on implementing and configuring HA/DR technologies like Always-On availability along with windows cluster, All types of replications, mirroring, log shipping, failover cluster instance in MS SQL Server.
• Extensive hands-on experience in T-SQL coding and tuning like Stored Procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexes.
• PowerShell Scripting
• Knowledge and experience of Azure SQL PaaS/IaaS implementation and configuration.
• Migrate database from on-prem to Azure solutions.
• Exposure in supporting large environments on-prem and Azure cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated exposure to PowerBI desktop and service.
• Hands-on experience to create reports in PowerBI and SSRS and support them.
• Wintel server and Azure cloud support capabilities highly regarded
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 11g,12c and 19c with upgradation.
• Ability and extensive knowledge of OEM to work with Oracle technologies.
• Hands-on experience on MySQL 5.7 to MySQL 8.0 with Unix/Linux OS.
• Experience with migrating data from MySQL to MS SQL server using SSIS packages.
• Writing queries in MySQL 8.0 to provide reports to client and troubleshoot/fix data issues.
• Ability to create, modify, deploy SSIS packages to SSIS catalog or Azure SSIS Integration Runtime.
• Hands-on experience with Azure products like VMs, NSGs, Storage Accounts, Load Balancers, VNets, Azure SQL database, Azure backup centre, monitor, Defender, Advisor, Resource Groups, Subscriptions, Azure Active Directory, etc.

Senior DBA – Associate Manager

This is a fulltime permanent role based within our Auckland, NZ office.

Regular working hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Monday to Friday). Minimum of 40 hours / Maximum of 45 hours per week.

Salary range $95,000 to $120,000 per annum
