SAP Technical Solution Architect

Capgemini is looking for a seasoned SAP Technical Architect to join our team for a transformative client program. This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality, innovative SAP solutions that align with our client's strategic objectives.

You will play a leading role in:

• Designing end-to-end SAP solutions leveraging SAP RISE with S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with client requirements and scalability for public sector and retail operations.
• Defining integration strategies using SAP BTP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, and API Management, replacing legacy middleware (SAP PO, webMethods, Boomi).
• Developing target architecture, solution blueprints, and reference architectures covering SAP, cloud, and integration layers.
• Architecting secure, cost-optimized solutions on Azure/AWS, including landing zones, identity, networking, and resilience aligned to NZ compliance standards.
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/Bicep), and observability frameworks for performance and reliability.

Your profile

• SAP Expertise: SAP RISE with S/4HANA (Finance, Logistics); SAP BTP (Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, API Management); IPS/IAS, CALM, and strategies for legacy integration retirement.
• Cloud & Integration skills: Azure/AWS architecture (networking, IAM, security, cost optimization); API lifecycle management; event‑driven design; EDI (EDIFACT/X12); GS1 standards.
• Transformation experience: Proven S/4HANA migrations—including data migration strategies and cutover planning.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong stakeholder engagement, team mentoring, and influence without authority.
• Compliance knowledge: NZ public sector security, privacy regulations, and retail compliance (PCI DSS).

Desirable certifications

• SAP RISE PCE
• Azure/AWS Solutions Architect
• TOGAF (or equivalent)

Where you’ll make impact

• Council/Public Sector: Rates & revenue, consents & licensing, GIS integration, water & transport asset management.
• Retail/Foodstuffs: POS integration, OMS, pricing & promotions, loyalty, supplier EDI, warehouse/DC operations.
• Data & Analytics: SAC, Power BI, and data lake/lakehouse architectures for reporting and insights.
