Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO Lead with Expertise/focus in CO, to join our ERP Transformation team, helping global clients modernize and optimize their finance, manufacturing, and operational processes. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, leading the design and implementation of advanced SAP Finance and Controlling solutions that improve costing accuracy, profitability visibility, financial governance, and operational decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAP Controlling, with experience in Product Costing, Material Ledger, Margin Analysis (CO-PA), along with a strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes within complex global organizations. You will play a critical role in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, translating business requirements into scalable solutions that support financial excellence, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
Application Consultants understand the client business process, current and future, and map it to the technologies being used, giving a demarcation of what can be achieved through a standard implementation and what would need customizations or extensions to be done to the application. They may functionally customize the application, partner with application developers to design application enhancements and extensions, and work with business users to implement process changes.
Individual should be able to conceptualize a business or technical solution leveraging colleagues and partners and must mastered at least one methodology in depth and have an advanced knowledge of one or more business domains, and one or more SaaS or package software solutions. This role has wide knowledge of industry innovations and competitor activity and actively engage in, and contribute to, internal and external knowledge developments. Individual has the solution knowledge and consulting skills to lead process improvements, analysis on business processes andor or IT and can advise clients on the implementation of one or more package modules. This role is responsible for workshop facilitation, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Individual is seen as active member within technology communities. Certifications: maintain certifications on Saas or Package Based solution and relevant methodology‹
Your Role
- Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions across large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Drive solution architecture and business process design for: Product Costing (CO-PC), Material Ledger, Margin Analysis / Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders
- Lead requirements gathering, blueprint workshops, and solution design sessions with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales stakeholders.
- Serve as the functional lead for SAP FI and CO workstreams, ensuring alignment across business processes and system architecture.
- Design and support complex business processes, including integration with Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Financial Accounting (FI), and Supply Chain functions.
- Support financial process integration across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Tax, Treasury functions.
- Design and implement organizational structures including company codes, controlling areas, profit centers, cost centers, chart of accounts, fiscal calendars, and reporting hierarchies.
- Partner with executive leadership, finance organizations, and business sponsors to drive key program decisions and transformation objectives.
- Lead onsite and offshore delivery teams, providing mentorship, governance, and functional leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate testing activities, data validation, user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and post-production support.
- Develop business process documentation, training materials, and end-user enablement programs.
- Maintain a high level of SAP functional expertise by staying current on SAP S/4HANA innovations, finance transformation trends, and emerging capabilities.
- Contribute to internal knowledge development, best practices, solution accelerators, and SAP capability growth across the organization.
- Support client pursuits, solution presentations, business development activities, and proposal responses.
- Build trusted relationships within client organizations.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of SAP FICO consulting experience with significant focus on SAP Controlling (CO).
- Experience leading 4-8 full lifecycle SAP implementations, including multiple SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Proven experience serving as FICO or Controlling Lead on 3-6 or more enterprise implementations.
- Strong expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing (CO-PC), Material Ledger, Margin Analysis / CO-PA, Cost Object Controlling
- Demonstrated experience supporting Controlling/Managerial accounting processes across industries.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including IFRS and GAAP.
- Experience designing SAP organizational and managerial structures, controlling areas, chart of accounts, cost center hierarchies, and profitability reporting structures.
- Experience integrating SAP FICO with MM, SD, PP, PM, and other SAP modules.
- Experience supporting financial close, profitability analysis, cost allocations, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
- Experience managing onsite and offshore delivery teams.
- Strong client-facing communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public or Private Cloud transformations (Plus)
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, consumer products, life sciences, or process industry organizations.
- Knowledge of financial planning, profitability management, and enterprise performance management initiatives.
- Experience supporting global ERP transformation programs with complex international requirements.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance and/or SAP Management Accounting certification preferred.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $82,082- $193,440
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
