Job Description
A technical product owner for cloud migration is responsible for planning and managing the migration of Application(s) to the cloud (AWS) developing Application migration roadmaps & planning (waves) collaborating with cross-functional teams. Managing the backlog and prioritizing and communicating with stakeholders.
Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications. 1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems. 2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance. 3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers. 4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities. 5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.Job Responsibilities
- Develops a Cloud migration strategy and vision that delivers value to customers Owns maintains and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
- Builds and tracks key success metrics such as cost feature and functionality risk posture and reliability.
- Supports maintains and oversees the Cloud migration roadmap to ensure alignment with line of businesses (LOBs) products partners and stakeholders.
- Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the Migration approach.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- 10 to 15 years of overall experience with 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in public cloud migration (AWS) projects
- Advanced knowledge of the cloud migration life cycle design and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead cloud migration life cycle activities including discovery ideation strategic development requirements definition and value management
- Proven experience with cloud migration programme in AWS /Azure with good understanding of Devops
- A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute strategic Migration plans that align with organizational goals and help to drive adoption from a product perspective
- Proven understanding of cloud computing and Devops fundamentals technologies and developer ecosystems with the ability to effectively transpose technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to measure the effectiveness of strategic migration roadmap initiatives derive actionable insights and optimize strategies for continuous improvement
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive alignment and support for platform initiatives
Preferred qualifications:
- s Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed complex organization.
- Must be familiar with agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or similar can be beneficial.
