Job Title: Lead Site Reliability / Observability Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA OR Chicago, IL

Job Responsibilities
- Establish Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices by implementing instrumentation for monitoring and logging service health and availability.
- Proactively monitor systems, networks, and applications to improve stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
- Design and develop new observability features for infrastructure and services.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Implement observability solutions, including writing code within monitoring platforms.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and documentation teams to deliver product features and improvements.
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Total Experience: 10+ years in the IT industry.
- Monitoring Tools: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with tools such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Cloud Platform: At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Azure and its infrastructure.
- SRE/Observability: 3+ years of experience in:
- Golden Signals monitoring
- Logging, distributed tracing
- Dashboarding, alerting
- SLX monitoring
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code:
- Experience with Azure Automation, PowerShell, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in ARM (Azure Resource Manager) templates.
- Log Management: Strong experience with Azure Log Analytics and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Nice to Have:
- Experience with middleware platforms like MuleSoft or other API platforms.
- Familiarity with release pipeline management from planning to deployment and monitoring.
- Additional Skills:

- Understanding of infrastructure delivery processes in dynamic environments.
- Experience working in Agile delivery models.
- Background as a hands-on software engineer.
- Strong communication skills and experience supporting customer issues.
- Interest or experience in presenting at tech conferences.
- Ability to work effectively in large, distributed teams.

Salary Transparency Language

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $106230 - $145000 /yearly.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
