Role SAS Developer

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer with around 5 years of handson expertise in SAS programming data management analytics and reporting The candidate should be proficient in Base SAS Advanced SAS SQL and working with large datasets in a business or analytics environment

Key Responsibilities

Develop maintain and optimize SAS programs for data extraction transformation analysis and reporting
Build ETL workflows data pipelines and automated SAS jobs
Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver analytical datasets reports dashboards and insights using SAS tools
Perform data validation cleansing and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
Develop SAS macros stored processes and reusable coding components
Work with large complex datasets from multiple sources databases flat files cloud systems
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams such as data engineering BI and business analytics
Optimize program performance and improve efficiency in SAS Base SAS StudioEG or SAS Grid
Document technical specifications data flows and coding logic
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAS jobs scheduling and data discrepancies


Required Skills Qualifications

5 years of handson experience in SAS programming
Strong knowledge of

Base SAS
Advanced SAS Macros SQL PROC SQL
SAS Enterprise Guide EG
SAS DI Studio optional but preferred


Proficiency in SQL and relational databases Oracle SQL Server Teradata etc
Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
Good understanding of data analysis statistical concepts and reporting
Ability to work with large datasets and optimize SAS jobs
Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills


Good to Have

Experience in banking finance healthcare or pharma domains
Exposure to cloud platforms AWS Azure or SAS Cloud
Knowledge of PythonR for analytics optional
Familiarity with BI tools Power BITableau
Experience with job schedulers like ControlM Autosys etc


Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering Statistics Mathematics or related field
SAS Certifications BaseAdvanced are a plus

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 95,000 - 105,000

 Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
