About the Job You're Considering
The SAP Life Sciences Delivery & Solutioning Architect is a senior transformation leader responsible for end‑to‑end solution architecture and delivery execution for complex SAP programs within the Life Sciences industry. This role combines deep SAP technical and functional expertise with strong industry knowledge to design, govern, and deliver compliant, scalable, and high‑impact SAP solutions.
Operating as both a Solution Architect and Delivery Leader, this role ensures SAP programs successfully transition from solutioning through execution while meeting regulatory, operational, and business objectives specific to Life Sciences organizations.
Solution Architects assess a project’s technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks. They are responsible for the design and implementation of the overall technical and solution architecture. They define the structure of a system, its interfaces, the solution principles guiding the organization, the software design and the implementation. The scope of the Solution Architect’s role is defined by the business issue at hand. To fulfil the role, a Solution Architect utilizes business and technology expertise and experience.
Solution/Delivery Architect Director - Responsible for the solution. Own, shape and drive the solution delivery and the partnership between Capgemini and the client. Understand the challenges, complexities and opportunities inherent in a business environment. Align the design of the solution according to the principles of enterprise architecture and control its successful implementation. Identify and assess technical evolution scenarios of a client organization and define its governance processes and program management. Are acknowledged internally and externally as a thought leader, are seen as a role model in the community, and can operate effectively at the highest levels within national and multi-national organizations.
Your Role
- SAP Life Sciences Industry Leadership - Recognized North America expert in a defined SAP domain (e.g., S/4HANA, Supply Chain, BTP, Data & Analytics), with deep industry process expertise.
- Translate SAP roadmap and adjacent technologies into client value and solution architectures.
- Provide architectural leadership across the full delivery lifecycle, from pre‑sales and solutioning through implementation and stabilization.
- Partner closely with Program Directors, Delivery Leads, and Functional Architects to ensure successful execution.
- Champion delivery excellence and methodology adoption (e.g., iCaptivate, LTP, agile delivery models).
- Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and regulatory expectations.
- Lead end‑to‑end solutioning and proposal responses for $50M+ TCV pursuits, including effort estimation, resourcing, commercial models (including outcome‑based), and value‑driven business cases. Mobilize cross‑BL teams and resolve pursuit complexity.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Director‑level and above stakeholders. Deliver compelling executive presentations and oral submissions; align stakeholders on vision, scope, roadmap, and outcomes.
- Lead solution blueprinting, architecture, and program strategy across the full delivery lifecycle. Champion Capgemini delivery methods, tools, and execution excellence while ensuring capabilities align to market demand.
- Expert in SAP S/4HANA transformation approaches (greenfield/brownfield) and organizational change.
- Build productive partner relationships (e.g., SAP, Microsoft). Develop reusable assets, accelerators, playbooks, and offerings; capture delivery learnings to strengthen the COE.
- Model Capgemini’s core values and build a strong personal brand as the go‑to expert for critical sales and delivery opportunities
- Able to lead and represent the entire proposal, ensuring the quality of proposal delivery through the mobilization and motivation of appropriate teams (Capabilities on/off, peer solution architects, domain experts across BL's, etc).
- Understand clients pain points, opportunities, and business context.
- Able to own plan and deliver an entire oral presentation across Capgemini lines of business for an opportunity in excess of $50 million.
- Able to lead the delivery of a solution business blueprint that will satisfy business requirements and enable timely and profitable delivery on projects greater than $50 million. Able to take a leadership role on a program shaping strategy and roadmap across Capgemini lines of business.
Your Skills and Experience
- 15+ years of professional experience in SAP and Large Scale transformations with significant focus on Life Sciences Implementations.
- 5 + full lifecycle implementations, with strong S/4HANA experience.
- Proven experience delivering S/4HANA greenfield and/or brownfield programs.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP technologies. - S/4HANA, BTP, current and emerging patterns for a composable enterprise including: Analytics, Data, Integration, Best of Breed / Best of Suite for Line of Business solutions, and ability to stitch SAP and non-SAP applications together across the application topology to deliver outcomes for client.
- Demonstrated leadership in complex, multi-workstream programs and cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Strong written and verbal executive communication (proposal narrative, exec summaries, oral presentations).
- Experience in consulting environment preferred (Big 4/large SI preferred per your criteria).
- SAP certifications relevant to domain expertise.
- Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF) and/or methodology credentials where applicable.
- Able to own plan and deliver an entire proposal response from specific reference to a clients requirements, including the executive summary, for an opportunity in excess of $50 million, TCV.
- Capable of doing this for proposals that span Capgemini lines of business across the SBU, playing as #OneCapgemini.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $123,750-$282,000
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
