About the role you're considering:
Experienced DevOps Engineer with strong OpenShift expertise to support, automate, and optimize application deployment pipelines across hybrid or multi‑cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This role will work closely with development, cloud, and platform engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable delivery of applications.
Must possess experience doing VM migration to OCP
Desired - Experience migrating Autosys batch jobs and MongoDB configurations to OpenShift platform.
Ability to use DevinAI / other AI tools to develop migration solution accelerators
Your role
OpenShift Platform Engineering
Deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on‑prem or cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Manage cluster upgrades, patches, and lifecycle maintenance.
Configure Operators, Service Mesh, Ingress Controllers, and Networking.
Optimize cluster resource utilization, autoscaling, and performance tuning.
DevOps & Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or ArgoCD.
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar tools.
Automate repeatable tasks, deployments, and environment provisioning.
Support GitOps model for deployment and configuration management.
Containerization & Application Support
Design and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes standards, and OpenShift best practices.
Support developers with container build pipelines, image scanning, and container security.
Troubleshoot application deployment issues and platform-level incidents.
Security, Compliance & Monitoring
Implement security best practices: RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, network policies, and cluster hardening.
Integrate monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk, or Datadog.
Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work cross‑functionally with development, SRE, cloud, and architecture teams.
Provide L2/L3 support for OpenShift and DevOps environments.
Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and platform onboarding guides.
Your skills and experience:
Required Skills:
5 to 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
Strong hands‑on experience with Red Hat OpenShift 4.x (must‑have).
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Tekton).
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
Solid understanding of Linux (RHEL), networking, and security fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar IaC tools.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or Groovy.
Preferred Qualifications
Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift Administrator/Expert).
Experience with service mesh (Istio), API gateways, or OpenShift Virtualization.
Familiarity with GitOps tools: ArgoCD, FluxCD.
Knowledge of Observability stacks: Prometheus/Grafana/ELK.
Experience working in regulated environments (banking, finance, healthcare).
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $86,129 to 127,189 PA
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
