The Databricks Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader is a senior consulting leader responsible for driving strategy, revenue growth, delivery excellence, and capability development for Databricks and Lakehouse solutions within the organization. The role partners closely with sales teams, cloud providers, Databricks alliances, and delivery teams to accelerate adoption of modern data and AI platforms.
Your role
- Sales & GTM
- Support sales in identifying and closing Databricks‑based data and AI opportunities.
- Lead pre‑sales: workshops, assessments, architecture design, proposals.
- Build reusable assets such as reference architectures and industry solutions.
- Collaborate with Databricks and cloud partners (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Delivery Leadership
- Ensure delivery quality and technical excellence across Databricks engagements.
- Act as executive sponsor for key modernization and AI programs.
- Guide teams on data engineering, analytics, ML/AI, streaming, governance, and MLOps.
- Promote Lakehouse best practices and cost optimization.
- Practice & Capability Building
- Grow Databricks skills through training, certifications, and recruitment.
- Define service offerings, CoE roadmap, delivery methodologies, and maturity models.
- Thought Leadership
- Represent the firm at industry and Databricks events.
- Publish blogs, whitepapers, architectures, and case studies.
- Drive internal knowledge‑sharing communities.
- Operational & Partner Management
- Maintain strong partnerships with Databricks field and product teams.
- Track KPIs: bookings, adoption, utilization, certification progress, customer success.
- Support annual planning and strategic investments.
Skills and experience
- 15+ years in data/analytics/cloud consulting, with 5+ years on Databricks or modern platforms.
- Proven leadership of large data modernization and AI transformation programs.
- Strong pre‑sales, advisory, and executive engagement skills.
- Deep Databricks expertise (Lakehouse, Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, streaming).
- Experience building high‑performing data/AI teams.
- Preferred: Databricks certifications.
- Leadership Competencies
- Strategic, systems‑level thinker with strong execution skills.
- Ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
- Executive presence and advisory strength.
- Strong communicator and thought leader.
- Passion for data and AI innovation.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $161,000 - $213,811.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
