Job Description

We are seeking an experienced UI API Automation Test Lead to design implement and lead automation testing strategies for web applications in the Property Casualty PC Insurance domain and Forms Automation The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in UI automation frameworks handson experience with Playwright and API automation with Rest Assured and proficiency in leveraging GitHub Copilot for accelerating test development This role requires strong leadership technical skills and domain knowledge to ensure highquality software delivery

Key Responsibilities:

1 API Testing Automation Leadership

Lead the design development and execution of API testing frameworks using REST Assured
Define the endtoend API testing strategy including functional regression contract integration and performance testing
Develop reusable modular and scalable automation scripts and libraries

2 Playwright Automation UI API Integration

Use Playwright to integrate API and UI test flows where applicable
Build hybrid test frameworks supporting endtoend testing
Optimize test execution using parallel containerized or cloudbased solutions

3 GitHub Copilot Utilization

Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate test script generation refactoring and documentation
Mentor team members on leveraging AIassisted development for productivity and quality improvements
Ensure Copilotgenerated code meets coding standards security guidelines and maintainability requirements

4 Test Strategy Quality Governance

Define and enforce testing standards best practices coding guidelines and QA processes
Establish test coverage goals and ensure thorough validation across microservices and APIs
Drive shiftleft testing culture by collaborating with architects and developers early in the lifecycle

5 CICD Integration

Integrate automated API tests into CICD pipelines GitHub Actions Jenkins Azure DevOps
Enable continuous quality checkpoints for every PR build and deployment
Implement reporting dashboards for automated test execution and failures

6 Team Leadership Stakeholder Collaboration

Lead mentor and upskill QA engineers on automation tools and frameworks
Collaborate with Product Owners Developers DevOps and Business Analysts to align testing with business priorities
Provide test estimations track progress resolve risks and ensure timely delivery

7 Defect Management Analysis

Own defect lifecycle detection triaging root cause analysis and verification
Analyze production defects to drive preventive measures and strengthen testing strategy
Provide QA signoff for APIrelated releases

Required Skills Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
Strong handson experience with REST Assured Java preferred
Good understanding of Playwright TypeScriptJavaJavaScript
Working knowledge of GitHub Copilot for automation development
Solid understanding of REST APIs microservices architecture JSON XML OAuth JWT API gateways etc
Experience with API tools like Postman Swagger or Insomnia
Proficient in CICD tools GitHub Actions Jenkins Azure DevOps GitLab CI
Strong Java or TypeScript coding background
Familiarity with contract testing tools eg Pact is a plus
Knowledge of performance testing JMeter Gatling is a plus

Leadership Functional Skills:
Experience leading a QA or automation team
Strong understanding of AgileScrum and test lifecycle processes
Excellent problem solving debugging and analytical skills
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities"

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $70000 to $93767

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
