We are seeking a Vulnerability Analyst with proven experience to join our cybersecurity team.
Working as part of our Security Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive vulnerability management service to our customer.
As a Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our customer’s information assets by identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities. Your expertise in Tenable will be essential in conducting thorough vulnerability assessments and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.
The Cyber Delivery Team sits within a wider Managed Services function, residing in the Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) UK business line. You will have the opportunity to interact with our global team of security experts, from Architects to Engineers, Analysts to Compliance Managers. Outreach in CIS doesn’t just stop at security, as we actively encourage our staff to engage with other areas of the business and local communities.
Hybrid working: The role will be hybrid and require working onsite at the customer site in Derby potentially up to 2-3 days a week, depending on business requirements.

Your role
- Feed and water customer Vulnerability Management toolsets across multiple networks, ensuring plug-ins are available daily, ensuring critical zero-day vulnerabilities are scanned within 24 hours of plug-ins becoming available and provide reports to stakeholders for remediation.
- Work closely with the Global Vulnerability Manager, supporting day-to-day activities and ensuring reporting requirements for stakeholders are amended where required.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports in line with business requirements to drive remediation efforts on customer network.
- Perform ad-hoc scans with approvals to support, projects, new services, specific vulnerability scanning/Maintain scan schedule in line with GVM Manager, businesses and change management teams
- General administration tasks performed on GVM Tooling; asset list updating, decommissioned device management, liaison with CMBD tool to maintain repositories.

Your skills and experience
- Proficiency in using Tenable for vulnerability scanning and management. Knowledge of other security tools and technologies is a plus.
- Some experience in vulnerability management or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate security risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and present findings to stakeholders.
- Degree, relevant qualification in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Not mandatory, experience in a vulnerability role will be considered
- Relevant certifications such as Comptia CySA+, CISSP, or Elastic Certified are preferred.

To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
