Transition Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Service Transition Manager responsible for managing end-to-end service transitions, ensuring seamless transfer of processes, people, and technology while maintaining service quality, timelines, and budgets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end transition projects (planning, execution, stabilization)
  • Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, risks, and contingency plans
  • Ensure delivery aligned with time, cost, and quality objectives
  • Manage transition financials, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams for smooth execution
  • Support bid processes (RFPs), solution design, and transition planning
  • Drive knowledge transfer, training, and process documentation
  • Ensure Day 1 readiness and productivity post transition
  • Track SLAs and proactively resolve issues
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Maintain strong stakeholder communication and reporting
  • Support transformation initiatives and implementation plans

Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications are desirable but not mandatory

Experience Required

  • 4–5 years of experience in Transition Management
  • Experience handling 3rd party / client transitions (non-captive)
  • Exposure to BPO / Shared Services environments
  • Experience in RFPs, bids, and solution design
  • Strong understanding of transition methodologies, risks, and delivery models
  • Experience in transformation initiatives and process improvement

Job Description - Grade Specific

Transition Lead Start by shadowing and support a senior resource. Move across as stream lead for individual streams in different areas across several consecutive Transition projects, to gain exposure. Eventually lead a stream in a medium Transition project or manages a small project less than 10 FTEs.
