Job Description

Application Consultants understand the client business process, current and future, and map it to the technologies being used, giving a demarcation of what can be achieved through a standard implementation and what would need customizations or extensions to be done to the application. They may functionally customize the application, partner with application developers to design application enhancements and extensions, and work with business users to implement process changes.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize SAP landscapes across ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP system administration, installations, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and technical support, ensuring the stability, availability, and security of SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, and Fiori.
  • Perform SAP system copies, client copies, refreshes, and migrations.
  • Manage SAP landscape administration, including development, quality, and production environments.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform kernel upgrades, support package implementations, and enhancement package installations.
  • Administer SAP HANA databases and support HANA migration activities.
  • Manage transport requests and coordinate change management processes.
  • Support SAP security teams during audits, patching, and compliance activities.
  • Configure and support SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, and SAP Web Dispatcher.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are maintained.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, dumps, background jobs, RFC connections, and interface failures.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams during implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Participate in on-call support and production issue resolution as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of SAP Basis experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Strong experience with SAP installations, upgrades, and system administration.
  • Experience administering SAP HANA databases.
  • Knowledge of SAP transport management and change control processes.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Certified Technology Associate certification.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Gateway, and SAP Web Dispatcher.
  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting tools.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • SAP SLT (Landscape Transformation Replication Server).
  • SAP BTP administration exposure.
  • SAP PO/PI integration support.
  • SAP Identity Management (IdM).
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Experience supporting global SAP landscapes.

Individual has the solution knowledge and consulting skills to lead process improvements, œas isor to be analysis on business processes andor or IT and can advise clients on the implementation of one or more package modules. This role is responsible for workshop facilitation, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Individual is seen as active member within technology communities. Certifications: maintain certifications on Saas or Package Based solution and relevant methodology‹
