LIMS Engineer

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in defining, configuring and deploying industrial digital technologies (including but not limited to PLM and MES) for managing continuity of information across the engineering enterprise, including design, industrialization, manufacturing and supply chain, and for managing the manufacturing data.

YOUR ROLE

• Application Support & Operations 
• Provide L2/L3 support for LabVantage LIMS across global sites (24x5 / follow-the-sun model as required) 
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLA timelines 
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive preventive actions 
• Monitor system health, performance, and data integrity 
• Development & Enhancements 
• Design, develop, and implement LIMS configurations, workflows, and customizations 
• Support new feature development aligned with Quality and R&D requirements 
• Create and maintain scripts, interfaces, and integrations (instruments, ERP, MES, external systems) 
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and deployment support 
• System Integration 
• Integrate LIMS with: 
• Laboratory instruments 
• ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) 
• MES / Manufacturing systems 
• Data platforms and reporting tools 
• Support data migration, interface troubleshooting and API integrations 
• Compliance & Governance 
• Ensure system compliance with standards such as: 
• GxP, GMP, GLP 
• 21 CFR Part 11 
• ISO standards (e.g., ISO 17025) 
• Maintain audit trails, validation documentation, and change control processes 
• Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) 
• Release & Change Management 
• Manage release cycles, patching, and upgrades 
• Participate in change advisory boards (CAB) 
• Maintain version control and deployment pipelines 
• Stakeholder Collaboration 
• Partner with Quality, R&D, and site lab teams to gather requirements 
• Work with global IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams 
• Provide training, knowledge transfer, and documentation 
• Continuous Improvement 
• Identify opportunities for: 
• Workflow automation 
• Process standardization 
• Performance optimization 
• Contribute to knowledge base (KB) articles and SOPs

YOUR PROFILE

• Hands-on experience with: 

  • LabVantage LIMS (preferred) or other LIMS platforms (LabWare, STARLIMS, etc.) 

  • 7+ years of experience in: 

    • LIMS support/development 

    • Application support in regulated environments 

• Strong knowledge of: 

  • SQL / Oracle / SQL Server 

  • Java / JavaScript (preferred) 

  • Web-based applications and APIs (REST/SOAP) 

• Strong proficiency in LIMS BASIC, LabVantage configuration, and visual workflows 

• Experience with instrument integration and lab automation 

• Familiarity with C# / .NET, HTML; Python basics a plus 

• Experience with: 

  • System integrations and middleware 

  • Data analysis and reporting tools (Power BI, Business Objects, etc.) 

  • Azure, Linux, Windows, JBCS, JBOSS, Open JDK, Bartender, Azul Zulu JDK, Bullzip,
