GCP Data Engineer

Job Description

Location: Any State of Mexico

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 YOE in data analysis, modeling and visualization
• Proficiency with multiple data engineering/extract-transform-load (ETL) tools and languages (e.g., Python, Google Cloud DataFlow, etc.)
• Experience working with SQL
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and technologies (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) 
• Experience participating on agile teams with other engineers.
• Experience with high-volume, scalable, enterprise data development
• Demonstrated presentation and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Google BigQuery, Vertex AI, Business Objects, etc.
• Fluent English level

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a data delivery expert on development projects affecting the organization’s goals and delivery priorities
• Works with Data Architects, Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Application Developers on sound product design and consistent approach across data products.
• Execute the data development process through pipeline creation, testing, deployment, and quality control.
• Adhere to standards for design and quality across team products, using approved data delivery tasks and tooling.
• Build prototypes, Proofs of Concept and/or demonstration examples for leadership and stakeholders for new data application needs and/or new technologies to employ, if defined by Architects or Lead Developers.
• Participate in team planning sessions related to data products to ensure proper planning, prioritization, and scheduling.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities to resolution and implement corrective actions where needed.
