Design & Release Engineer (Automotive Differential Systems) - Hybrid in Saltillo

Your Role

  • Lead the design, development, validation, and release of automotive differential systems and driveline components, ensuring performance, quality, cost, and timing targets are achieved.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vehicle engineering, manufacturing, validation, and suppliers to develop technical solutions and ensure successful system integration.
  • Own engineering deliverables including DFMEA, DVP&R, FMEA, CAD models, GD&T drawings, BOMs, engineering releases, and change management activities.
  • Manage Tier 1 suppliers, technical reviews, prototype builds, root cause investigations, and corrective actions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support vehicle builds, launch activities, warranty investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of automotive product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of differential systems, axle assemblies, gears, bearings, seals, lubrication systems, powertrain integration, and transmission/driveline components.
  • Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, root cause analysis, engineering validation, and automotive release processes.
  • Proficiency with NX, CATIA, Teamcenter, and Microsoft Office tools; experience creating CAD models, 2D drawings, and managing product structures.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and supplier management skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and work effectively in cross-functional global teams.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
