Data Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, Python, and modern data platforms to help modernize legacy ETL pipelines and data warehouse systems. This role focuses on analyzing SSIS packages, migrating them to modern data pipelines, and ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance across the data platform. The ideal candidate has strong experience in data warehousing, ETL frameworks, SQL optimization, and distributed data technologies such as Hive or Trino.
Key Responsibilities
•Analyze and migrate legacy SSIS packages to modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
•Develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL and Python.
•Support data warehouse to data lake migration initiatives.
•Optimize SQL Server performance through query tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
•Design and maintain data warehouse models (fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas, SCDs) and build data marts.
•Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Required Qualifications
•5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or ETL development.
•Strong hands-on experience with SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server.
•Expertise in SQL performance tuning and database optimization.
•Proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation and automation.
•Solid understanding of data warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling.
•Experience with distributed query engines such as Hive or Trino and knowledge of DB administration concepts (indexing, partitioning, backup/recovery).
