Data Engineer-Snowflake
This role focuses on platform enablement, infrastructure automation, and reliability, working closely with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data systems are secure, scalable, observable, and cost‑efficient.
Requirements:
- 5+YOE in Data Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (or similar tools such as CloudFormation or Bicep).
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid knowledge of Linux and command-line environments.
- Experience with Docker and foundational knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing observability solutions (metrics, logs, alerts).
- Strong understanding of IAM, cloud security, and secret management.
- Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with secret management systems such as Vault or KMS.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, firewalls, private endpoints).
- Background working in DevOps or SRE-oriented environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud-based data platforms.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data pipelines, analytics workloads, and platform components.
- Set up and standardize monitoring, alerting, and logging for data jobs, services, and platform infrastructure.
- Manage IAM, secrets, networking, and security baselines following best practices.
- Continuously improve system reliability, availability, and performance using SRE principles.
- Drive cloud cost optimization and efficient resource usage across data platforms.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Security teams to define platform standards and best practices.
- Document architectures, operational procedures, and platform guidelines
