Your Role 

Capgemini is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP custom development, technical design, integrations, enhancements, and production support. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ABAP development across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments and be capable of delivering complex technical solutions while mentoring junior team members. This role requires strong analytical skills, end-to-end ownership of development activities, and the ability to work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to design, build, and support enterprise SAP solutions.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).
  • Extensive experience developing:
    • Reports
    • Interfaces
    • Conversions
    • Enhancements
    • Forms (RICEF)
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • BAPIs
    • RFCs
    • IDocs
    • BDCs
    • Function Modules
    • SAP Data Dictionary
    • Enhancement Framework
    • BAdIs
    • User Exits
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Adobe Forms
    • Smart Forms
    • SAP Scripts
    • ALV Reports
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience supporting SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
  • Knowledge of transport management and SAP development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration concepts.
  • Experience working in support and project environments.

Application Consultants understand the client business process, current and future, and map it to the technologies being used, giving a demarcation of what can be achieved through a standard implementation and what would need customizations or extensions to be done to the application. They may functionally customize the application, partner with application developers to design application enhancements and extensions, and work with business users to implement process changes.

Individual has the solution knowledge and consulting skills to lead process improvements, œas isor to be analysis on business processes andor or IT and can advise clients on the implementation of one or more package modules. This role is responsible for workshop facilitation, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Individual is seen as active member within technology communities. Certifications: maintain certifications on Saas or Package Based solution and relevant methodology‹
