AI Product Owner

About the Role

Capgemini’s Global Insights & Data business line is at the forefront of data, platforms, and analytics, serving a diverse range of industries including financial services, consumer products, manufacturing, and life sciences. As an AI Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our AI strategy in the Middle East, driving innovation and delivering business value through advanced analytics and AI solutions.

This is a dynamic, hybrid position—you’ll split your time between Capgemini offices, client sites, and remote work (note: fully remote is not possible). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale AI-driven solutions that transform our clients’ businesses.

Your Role

AI Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the AI roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
• Identify high-impact opportunities for AI adoption across multiple business functions.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts.
• Drive innovation through research, prototyping, and the adoption of emerging technologies.

Technical Ownership

• Architect and deploy scalable AI/ML models and systems in production environments.
• Oversee the end-to-end model lifecycle: from data collection and exploration to development, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
• Implement best practices for MLOps, model governance, versioning, and CI/CD.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and availability for all AI initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with business leaders to translate requirements into impactful AI solutions.
• Work closely with engineering, cloud, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into products and platforms.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Risk, Compliance & Responsible AI
• Ensure AI models adhere to standards of fairness, transparency, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish guidelines for ethical and responsible AI usage.

Your Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, LLMs, and generative AI
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, and LangChain
• Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with data engineering pipelines and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of MLOps tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, Azure ML)

Professional Experience

• Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade AI systems
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to lead in fast-paced, agile environments
• Strategic thinker with a product-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields
• Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
• Publications, patents, or conference contributions in AI/ML
• Industry-specific AI experience (e.g., BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing)
